VISIT OF OVERSEAS AMERICAN PAKISTANI DOCTORS
TO OVERSEAS SECTOR-DHA ISLAMABAD PHASE-II EXTN

A distinguished delegation of 150 doctors of Association of Physicians of Pakistani descent of North America (APPNA) visited DHA Islamabad on Saturday 23 Dec 06.

The delegation under the supervision of Dr. A.R. Paracha, President APPNA, was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Abdul Ghafoor, Administrator DHA Islamabad in Phase II Ext. DHA Islamabad has dedicated a special sector consisting of 650 acres of land for overseas Pakistanis in phase II Ext. A graceful ceremony was conducted on the site office of Overseas Management Group DHA Islamabad. The delegation was briefed in detail about the project which is state-of-the art facility making an International standard Health and Education City . Efforts are in hand to provide a synonymous environment to overseas Pakistanis, specially the Doctors community by DHA Islamabad so as to utilize their expertise in their homeland being state-of-the art and technologies in surgery and medicines for Pakistanis. The teaching facility is going to be a part of the Health and Education City . Here the medical students as well as paramedical staff will be trained through a top American University and affiliated hospitals.

After the briefing, Administrator DHA Islamabad shared his views and then the delegation was made to visit the site. The delegation observed the development work being done at site area by HRL. The visitors are optimistic for the success of the project. They were highly excited and appreciated the planning and execution of the project. After the briefing and visit the overseas Pakistanis are expected to invest in the project at a large scale. The project is going to strengthen the bond of love and affiliation to own country and motherland by Overseas Pakistanis.
